Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC) hosted a Leadership Skills Development (LEAD) workshop for its senior officials at Radisson hotel, Doha, recently. The two days long workshop was attended by about 30 CGC officials belonging to technology, engineering and mobility business streams.
On the occasion, Anil Mahajan, COO, CGC, stated that the workshop would help the company officials to further enhance their skill sets. “We expect lot of value addition and ample take away for the attendees. Aimed at enabling our key officials to fine-tune their leadership skills, take on greater responsibilities and to increase their impact through leading and influencing others, such skill development trainings help us in amplifying team spirit, efficiency besides deepening and reaffirming our commitment to all stakeholders to achieve excellence and drive success.”
Through the workshop, the participants gained insights into different leadership skill sets required for organizational and professional growth. Dr. Sanjay Salooja, a seasoned trainer from India, conducted the workshop. He cited numerous case studies to inculcate leadership behaviours, attitude and aptitude needed to make a difference both in professional and personal lives. To excel as a team leader, the attendees were told to comprehend some key ingredients including identifying leadership strengths and areas of improvements, communicating fundamental values and beliefs, expressing your image of the future, inspiring others to share a common vision, searching for opportunities to take the risk needed for growth, learning the characteristics of the four behavioral styles so you can understand the needs of your employees and know how to work with and bring out the best in each one, building collaboration, teamwork and trust, strengthening the ability of others to excel, recognizing the accomplishments of others and applying the best practices of exemplary leadership to a current organizational challenge.
At the end of the workshop, all the attendees were presented with the certificate of participation.
