Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC), the leading technology solutions provider and Nokia partner for Qatar, has tied up with Friends of Thrissur organisation to sponsor the Inter Indian School Youth Festival to be held in Doha between 8th to 15th January.
The event brings together hundreds of enthusiastic youths from all Indian schools in and offer a common platform to showcase their talents in diversified fields, including literary, arts, music and dance competitions.
Inter Indian School Youth Festival is an annual event in involving 41 literary, arts, music & dance competitions. About 1500 students from all seven Indian schools are participating in the week-long festival to be held in
Birla
Public school and DMIS. Doha Cinema is to host grand day-long finale of the 2nd edition of the event on 15th January with free entry to all audience. A large number of families, education department representatives and dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahul Panikkaveettil, President, Friends of Thrissur, thanked CGC for supporting the young talents and looked forward for further cooperation. He further explained that the event aims at nurturing the young generation beyond their regular curriculum so that they experience overall mental and physical growth. Competitions like this provide solid opportunity to student community to explore the world of creativity and extra curricular activities thus explore and demonstrate their overall talents. He further added “last year’s success with the event and the mesmerising performance of the participants, encouraged us to put more efforts to have a grand hosting of the event.”
Anil Mahajan, COO, CGC, extended his best wishes for the participants and organizers. Thanking Friends of Thrissur for giving them opportunity to associate and promote young creative talents, he said, “CGC feels privileged to support such socio-cultural events.
