Centralized Alarm Monitoring System (CAMS) is the nomenclature used for the facility accommodating the "Operations Control Centre" and "Crisis Management Centre" within the Multipurpose Administration Complex. The Central Location is connected to various areas like police, ambulance, fire and safety, etc. CAMS is mainly used to manage the Emergency Situations that threaten the safety of people or assets to organizations. The Control Centre communicates with the Alarm units, mainly known as Alarm Panels which in turn is designed to send a notice to the Control center in case of any emergency. As the name itself suggest, the Control Centre controls all resources at the scene and sets priorities to ensure preservation of life and security of physical assets. The on-scene tactical response is primarily concerned with establishing safety of people and infrastructure at the incident location. First responders to the incident involve Fire Rescue, Safety, Security and Medical services.

The most common security sensors indicate the opening of a door or window or detect motion via passive infrared (PIR). New construction systems are predominately hardwired for economy. Retrofit installations often use wireless systems for a more economical and quicker install. Some systems serve a single purpose of burglary or fire protection. Combination systems provide both fire and intrusion protection. Sophistication ranges from small, self-contained noisemakers, to complicated, multi-zoned systems with color-coded computer monitor outputs.

An automatic fire alarm system is designed to detect the unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion.

Meeting your Security needs

Meeting Qatar’s Ministry of Interior (MoI) requirements, CGC came forward to implement the very prestigious project of setting up a Centralised Alarm Monitoring System (CAMS) for the country. The MoI has authorized CGC to supply, installation, test, commission and maintain the CAMS applications. CGC is the exclusive authorised service provider of the CAMS services in Qatar. The MoI has authorised CGC to collect all the revenue charges from end-user customers on yearly basis and manage the total invoicing and the collection of the revenue. It is also given rights to directly coordinate with customers for the one time installation and the connection charges for the selected APC Panel.
